Decentralized NFT Application on Ethereum
A thesis project exploring blockchain technology, decentralization, smart contracts, and NFT-based application development through a lightweight Ethereum testnet prototype.

What I studied and learned
Research Question
The goal was to understand how decentralized applications can be built on Ethereum, with a focus on NFT functionality, smart contracts, and user interaction without relying on a centralized system.
Method
I combined a literature review with a practical development project. The prototype was built using Ethereum and Solidity documentation, the Scaffold-ETH 2 toolkit, the ERC-721 NFT standard, and IPFS for storing image files and metadata.
Outcome
The project produced a working testnet prototype where users could mint NFTs using their own selected image file. The application also included on-chain voting, a three-token minting limit per user, and one vote per user. The thesis received a grade of 5/5.
